The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for managing all facility-related duties (e.g. preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, etc.) throughout the site including cleanrooms, warehouse/shipping, offices, parking lot and the property. The building is a total of 40,000 sqft. The Supervisor will coordinate and manage contractors where applicable e.g. Pest Control, janitorial, etc. Being successful in this role includes exhibit good documentation skills and may help in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in this FDA-regulated environment. This position is customer-based with a focus on providing a safe, efficient, and comfortable working environment for Wedgewood employees.
When will you work?
- This is an onsite position working Monday – Friday. There will be some flexibility needed to work overtime or weekends, on occasion, per maintenance scheduling and participates in on-call rotation.
What you’ll do:
- Follow the Work Order system to address facilities-related tasks in a compliant, safe, and timely manner.
- Work with Leadership and Quality to develop and execute a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance program based on manufacturer requirements, industry best practices, and professional experience.
- Repairs and maintains in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery, and mechanical equipment such as autoclaves, HVAC, tablet machine, refrigeration, water purification systems, and production equipment.
- Use the Building Management System (BMS) to monitor and troubleshoot all areas of the building including a critical cleanroom environment.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain a spare parts inventory as required.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety and quality protocols.
- Participate in safety & EH&S programs.
- Contribute to the development of the Facilities' operating and capital budgets based on observed facility needs and deficiencies requiring attention.
- Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
- Author and/or revise preventive maintenance procedures.
- Lead and assist with renovations, equipment moves, equipment installations, and construction prep.
- Manage vendors to perform repairs, PMs, and facility renovations as needed and ensure the work is completed safely and accurately.
- Document all work performed on equipment including certifications, repairs, and PMs in compliance with Quality requirements.
- Primary contact for the security company including security-related alarms and access management.
- Organize and schedule the twice-yearly facility recertification and all associated maintenance projects.
- Stocking break room supplies, maintaining an inventory of janitorial supplies, building, and fixing furniture, cleaning spills, and changing light bulbs in the administrative areas.
- Responsible for safety on site, including safety team leadership, training on safety-related topics, and documenting incidents and near-misses sitewide.
