Job Summary
The Public Health & Health Sciences Department is seeking a Research Associate I (temporary) to assist with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) study to conduct research to understand adolescent perspectives on improving telehealth (remote care such as video and telephone healthcare visits). This position will start in October 2024 and for up to 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities*
- Perfoming independent data analysis of study data
- Comparing the study data on demographics to those of Genesee County to determine for what demographic groups they will need additional recruitment
- Training undergraduate student researchers on study tasks
- Assigning interviews among students depending on student availability
- Contact pediatrician offices (office managers) on their willingness to participate in our study
- Offer reimbursement/incentives to pediatrician offices per IRB protocol
- Make changes to the Qualtrics survey following IRB approved changes
- Verifying that answers are from valid participants by checking on the geo-location of the responses to ensure participants are actually Genesee County residents and not international respondents seeking only to receive a gift card
- Maintain a data collection file by ensuring data is correct
- Overseeing a variety of databases
Required Qualifications*
- Graduation from college or university with a bachelor's degree in related field
- Work experience in research or related technical fields
Desired Qualifications*
- Master's degree in related field
Modes of Work
Hybrid:
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
