Job Summary
The purpose of the Superintendent, Resource Management role is to accomplish strategic objectives by overseeing the Resource Management operations and the development of functional operations strategic plans. This position uses its demonstrated experience and knowledge to strategically plan and manage workload and resources, ensuring achievement of customer expectations, compliance dates, regulatory requirements and other operational objectives. The responsibilities of this role include staff and peer development, direct supervision of staff and ensuring strategic and tactical plans support company financial and operating objectives. This person has expertise in departmental processes and technology platforms, and leads initiatives which drive process improvements, reduces inefficiencies and improves quality.
This position may be filled at Supervisor (Level 5) or Superintendent (Level 6). Individuals who demonstrate advanced skills in terms of work experience, education, and certifications may be eligible for the more advanced position.
Job Responsibilities & Accountabilities by Competency
Functional Expertise:
- Ability to facilitate, strategize key initiatives, with stakeholders to achieve new standards in quality, field service, customer satisfaction and financial performance.
- General understanding of project management methodology for planning and scheduling work.
- Understanding of regulatory agency requirements associated with operating practices and the natural gas industry.
- Knowledge of the various functional operation organizations and related interdependencies.
- Solid understanding of the application of the Project Management methodology approach to identify objectives, define scope-of-work, and drive executive initiatives.
- Accountable for driving decision-making and coordinating with the operating areas, support departments and external agencies to ensure that work is planned and scheduled.

- Accountable to lead and oversee Planning Meetings with multiple stakeholders to meet performance objectives.
- Responsible for preparation of presenting and engaging with senior leadership on program statuses and special initiatives.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with multiple internal stakeholders.
- Accountable for contributing to strengthening the long-term relationship of the Resource Management and Operations leadership.
- Collaborates on an ongoing basis with field directors, supervisors and employees to ensure work plans include and maintain a global perspective through proper resource allocations and staffing levels to achieve desired targets.

- Influence performance metrics with tracking and monitoring tools to achieve goals (Production, Efficiencies and Variance Analysis).
- Identify and execute processes that enhance stakeholder performance.
- Accountable for managing workload to meet timelines associated with governmental agencies and internal due dates.
- Monitors key performance indicators to meet corporate objectives and ensure all service levels agreements are successfully met while maintaining an ongoing evaluation of procedures to ensure the desired results are achieved.

- BA/BS degree or minimum 5 yrs. experience in gas utility operations
Related Work Experience:
