Monitors and meets labor budgets, quality standards and meets delivery schedules. Supervises production personnel, plans and assigns work, implements company policies, safety standards and housekeeping practices. Monitors employees' performance, development and implements job related training.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Ensures adherence to Employee Health and Safety policies.

  • Controls and meets labor budgets through planning and monitoring the production progress.

  • Supervisor is accountable/responsible for labor budgets in their production area.

  • Leads, supports and directs all production personnel to ensure a quality product is delivered on time and within budget.

  • Coaches and provides expertise to resolve issues and ensures corrective action is implemented.

  • Manages the scheduling of production, sets work schedules and delegates work assignments.

  • Maintains adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

  • Monitors employees' performance, development, takes corrective action if needed and conducts performance appraisals.

  • Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.

  • Implements job related training and employee development.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum Experience: Five to seven years' related experience

  • Minimum Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to problem solve and resolve issues, detail oriented, strong inter-personal skills, ability to respond quickly to changes, assertive self-starter, sound comprehension of safety rules, basic math skills, effective team player

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sit, stand, bend, reach, walk for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. frequently.

  • Sufficient hand, arm and finger dexterity to operate tools and/or machinery.

  • May be required to work extended hours which may include weekends and holidays.

  • Regularly exposed to manufacturing areas that may require personal protective equipment.

  • Regularly exposed to a manufacturing work environment that is hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet and/or noisy.
