Job Summary:
An Identity Governance Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, management, and optimization of a SailPoint Identity Governance platform, ensuring that user access across systems is properly controlled, compliant with security policies, and aligned with business needs, by defining access policies, managing user provisioning, and conducting regular access reviews, all while leveraging SailPoint functionalities to maintain a secure identity management system within an organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive identity governance strategy, including access provisioning, deprovisioning, and certification processes, aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on SailPoint functionalities, including user lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and attribute-based access control (ABAC).
- Design and implement access control policies, defining user roles, permissions, and appropriate access levels for different applications and systems.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal security standards related to identity governance, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX, by conducting regular access reviews and risk assessments.
- Manage a team of identity governance specialists, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Lead the implementation and integration of SailPoint with other IT systems, including HR systems, Active Directory, and application systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to identity governance, generate reports on access trends, and identify potential security risks.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including IT, security, compliance, and business leaders to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure alignment with identity governance strategies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and best practices
- Proven experience managing and administering SailPoint Identity Governance platform
- Expertise in designing and implementing access control policies, including RBAC and ABAC
- Strong analytical skills to identify access risks and assess compliance posture
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience in project management and system implementation
