FactSet's Trading Sales group is hiring an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our expanding sales team at FactSet. You’ll have the unique opportunity to drive sales of our trading solutions directly to some of the industry's most sophisticated clients, including asset managers, wealth managers, and hedge funds. In conjunction with FactSet’s existing data, research, and technology solutions, you will focus on expanding existing accounts and finding new logos. As part of an experienced team of SMEs, you will work with the sales team to effectively deliver the trading solutions' value proposition to clients.
Role Responsibilities:
The Senior Sales Engineer will drive revenue growth of the trading business by engaging in all phases of the sales cycle. Their immediate focus will include selling trading, execution, compliance and IBOR systems and owning the ongoing technical relationship throughout the customer lifecycle. This role will serve as a trusted technical advisor responsible for managing, retaining, and growing our trading products for our clients. Specific responsibilities include:
Working with trading sales and general sales teams to qualify leads as they arise
Leading tailored, detailed demos and fielding client questions and requests
Executing efficient POCs
Develop an understanding of all areas of FactSet’s solutions and collaborating with internal FactSet teams to deliver an integrated view of the overall FactSet offering
Providing guidance on workflow implementation/revenue retention efforts
Effectively deliver trading solutions value proposition to clients
Maintain a high level of sales activity and track those efforts in Salesforce; Assist in the upkeep of an accurate and dynamic pipeline of sales opportunities.
Build awareness of FactSet’s Trading Solutions via a strong partnership with general sales/consulting services, sales enablement, product marketing, etc.
Facilitate feedback loop with product/engineering to guide the roadmap for FactSet’s Front Office Solutions.
Build strong rapport with users who align with the front office at clients/prospects. In many cases, we are the face of FactSet when it comes to consultative engagements that solve their biggest problems.
Develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and the ability to position FactSet Trading Solutions’ differentiation and value.
Key Requirements:
At least 9+ years experience working with trading-related systems and services.
A unique intersection of analytical depth in trading-related systems to provide SME-level support to client engagements and the desire to sell a comprehensive trading solution.
Entrepreneurial mindset for learning the FactSet LiquidityBook Trading suite, demonstrating those capabilities, and fielding client questions.
A strong drive for results in a competitive sales landscape.
A complete understanding of our clients’ businesses, the financial markets in general, and how FactSet fits into that picture.
A relationship builder who’s excited about building rapport with clients and prospects.
Comfortable owning the stage in important meetings/demos with an executive presence, both virtual and in-person.
Ability to navigate complex discovery conversations to understand client value-drivers/pain points and map those back to the appropriate set of Front Office solutions.
Ability to coordinate tailored POCs for clients.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry conferences, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Established capabilities with Python and/or other programming languages/statistical packages (R, Matlab, etc.)
Demonstrated interest in continued learning through CFA and/or other relevant professional designations.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
The budgeted amount range for this position in California is $100,000 - $135,000
