Our large tech client in seeking an Assistant Buyer to join their team.
The Assistant Buyer is responsible for managing procurement activities to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining budget constraints. This role involves negotiating contracts, performing cost analysis, and conducting market research to optimize the purchasing process.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the GA Procurement Team in placing and managing orders for materials
Work with global supply base to ensure orders are placed, expedited, tracked, and invoiced correctly.
Place reoccurring PO's, problem solve invoice issues for Shipping/Receiving
Attend weekly team meetings
Deliver monthly and weekly reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree
Understanding of supply chain and how orders flow through
Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Understanding of data management and databases
Highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented
