NORTHWEST TREK WILDLIFE PARK
Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is a facility of Parks Tacoma, an independent government agency creating healthy opportunities to play, learn and grow since 1907. A five-member Board of Park Commissioners governs Parks Tacoma and is the policy determining body for the park district.
Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is dedicated to conservation, education and recreation by displaying, interpreting and researching native Northwest wildlife and natural habitats. We are nationally accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA), which ensures rigorously high standards of animal welfare, veterinary care, conservation, education and more.
POSITION INFORMATION
This position furthers the mission of the Zoological and Environmental Education Department of Parks Tacoma, to awaken a connection to Wild Life with everyone in the Pacific Northwest. This position will work with our F&B (food and beverage partner) to help coordinate a variety of daytime and evening rental and event functions at Northwest Trek, from intimate weddings to large company picnics, and overnight accommodations.
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to:
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
- Observe applicable safety requirements, use safety equipment provided, implement appropriate safety practices at all times and report immediately any unsafe working conditions or hazards.
