Young Adult Peer Mentor - Family After School Program
Great opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Young Adult Peer Mentor for our amazing Family After School Program!
In this vital role, the Young Adult Peer Mentor will guide youth through their treatment process providing outreach, peer support and advocacy, all in accordance with the client’s individual action plan.
The Young Adult Peer Mentor will:
- help clients to gain access to resources and communities
- work in coordination with the clinical team the Peer Mentor will use their experience as a positive model for clients’ process
- transport (picking up and dropping off) children via a staff monitored van from school to the program, and from the program home
Schedule: Part Time 20 hours per week
- School Year Hours: 2-6pm; Summer Hours: 1-5pm
Pay Rate: $21.22/hourly

Required Skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Certification as a Peer Specialist which can be attained after hire
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
Required Experience
- Experience living with and recovering from mental health needs, substance use, and or traumatic life concerns which caused challenge in one or more areas of life
- High School Degree/GED required, Bachelors preferred
- One year experience working with target population preferred
