Entry-Level Survey Specialist
The Health and Retirement Study housed at the Survey Research Center (SRC) within the internationally recognized Institute for Social Research (ISR) supports multiple research projects surrounding aging, health, and economic circumstances. We are looking for an entry-level, flexible, and detail-oriented candidate to join our Instrument Development Team.

Responsibilities*
The main focus of the job is to support data collection by systemic testing of survey instrument, identifying and documenting program errors and changes, developing testing scenarios, and performing data quality control. You will maintain comprehensive testing protocols and support materials.
You will prepare questionnaire documentation. You will work in a team environment that allows for both independent and collaborative work. If you join our team, you will report to the Instrument Testing Coordinator.

Required Qualifications*
We'd like to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in a social science discipline, computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years experience in survey research, or related area
- Experience as a successful team member
- Experience completing assignments on deadline
- Experience working with others at multiple levels of an organization
- Proficiency using standard office and relational database software
Desired Qualifications*
We are especially interested if you also have any of the following:
- Experience with Computer Assisted Interview (CAI) systems and methods for complex data collection applications
- Experience summarizing and documenting complex issues
- Experience testing technical systems
- Spanish language fluency
Work Locations
We offer flexibility for hybrid work within our overall Center guidelines. Flexible work guidelines for this position is 100% in-office for the training period. After completing the training period, there is the possibility of hybrid or remote work.
