We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal Software Engineer based in Orlando, FL.
What You'll get to Do:
• Develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems.
• Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Diagnose problems encountered during application integration among products and address fixes/enhancements according to prescribed program processes.
• Design and develop complex software using a variety of programming and scripting languages.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 9 years of experience / 7 years with Masters / 5 Years with PhD
• Ability to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Demonstrated experience developing software using Java, C, C++, C#, or Python
• Demonstrated experience with debugging existing software and correcting defects
• Demonstrated experience with the SDLC and agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using Bash or similar scripting languages to automate tasks
• Experience configuring and using SonarQube, Fortify, or other code analyzers
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Eggplant and Microsoft Testing Framework
• Experience with Continuous Integration Technologies such as Jenkins and Bamboo
• Experience using Visual Studio Code (VS Code)
• Experience with Software Configuration Management tools such as Git
• Demonstrated experience developing Linux software applications
• Experience developing SELinux policies
• Demonstrated experience working with XML Schemas and XML processing tools.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and secure communication techniques.
• Current DoD 8570 Certification IAT Level II or higher (Security+, CISSP, etc.) or ability to obtain one within 6 months
Salary Range: $114,900 - $172,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
