Sr. Manager of Accounting 2023322
Location: Waltham, MA (Hybrid)
Job Overview: This role involves actively contributing to the month-end close process and reporting functionality, as well as identifying and implementing operational improvements and process streamlining initiatives throughout the organization.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the month-end close process, including managing investments, department/clinical accruals, leases, and equity, while ensuring timely reconciliations that comply with GAAP.
• Prepare and review recurring financial activities such as reconciliations and journal entries, payment runs, bi-weekly payrolls, and employee T&E management.
• Collaborate with FP&A and other departments to prepare departmental financial reports, analyze historical trends, and identify variances to budget for improved efficiencies.

Primary Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience.
• Relevant experience in the Biotech/Life Sciences industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including US GAAP, and experience with internal controls such as SOX compliance.
• Proficiency in using top-tier accounting/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
