Sr Java Developer
Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a Sr Java Developer
to place at our client, within Enterprise Retailer.
Client: Enterprise Retailer
Location: GTA – 1-2x a month in office.
Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Project: Our client is working on an exciting Pricing Engine project aimed at replacing their current open management system with a new, robust pricing engine portal. This portal will handle discount and promotion calculations, providing a more efficient and scalable solution for their needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain high-quality Java applications using Spring Boot.
Design and implement distributed systems with a focus on scalability and performance.
Work with cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Manage and optimize SQL and Redis databases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the pricing engine.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience in Java development.
Proficiency in Spring Boot.
Experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP.
Strong understanding of distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with SQL and Redis.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

Background in retail industry.
Experience with pricing engines or similar systems.
