Job Title: Software Engineer
Contract: 9 Months
Location: Iselin, NJ ON-SITE
Job/Role Description:
* Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
* Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
* Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
* Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.
Required Skills/Experience:
* 8+ years of application development and implementation experience using Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Python/Scala.
* Strong Experience in T-SQL Development such as complex stored procedures, data load, views.
* Design and develop ETL to move data from various sources preferably from Flat files, JSON, Oracle and experience with FTP, NDM
* Experience in writing AUTOSYS JIL (Job Information Language) Commands
* Deployment of Database components from lower environment to UAT/Production environment
* Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
* 3+ years of experience with Agile tools
Desired qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience designing and implementing process solutions for automation
* 3+ years of build-deploy automation and configuration experience
* 3+ years of Advanced SQL & Data Development experience
* 1+ year of experience with DevOps environments
* An industry-standard technology certification
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* A BS/BA degree or higher in Information technology/Computer Science/ Mathematics
* Ability to work additional hours as needed
