Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Site Manager 1 for the Nozzle Value Stream located in Promontory, Utah.
The selected candidate has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading the manufacturing activities. They will work with multiple programs, quality, cost/schedule objectives and factory accountability along with other duties.
Essential Functions:

• Fosters a safety-first environment. Ensures all Safety standards and protocols are followed. Including but not limited to PPE adherence, confined space entry compliance, critical moves, SIS improvements, etc.

• Follows all Security protocols and ensures only authorized individuals access secure areas.

• Provides direction/coaching to technicians and other manufacturing personnel in the production areas.

• Ensures team members receive the required training and prepare the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives.

• Encourage and provide direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.

• Provide leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.

• Ensures team has the needed resources required for manufacturing success.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/equivalent with 10 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, maintenance and/or related environment.  

• Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience.



• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership, supervisory and/or management role.

• Must obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate apps and programs online.

• Must be available to work days, some weekends, and occasional swing shifts to support the team.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree

• Leadership experience in aerospace or a related industry

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Salary Range: $90,300 - $135,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
