Position Summary:
The Service Technician Trainee - Make Ready Center (MRC) will learn to prepare cold drink equipment for customers for multiple facilities within the company. This position will learn to manage the inventory for parts and cold drink equipment.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Assist with preparation of cold drink equipment for customers
- Assist with diagnostics, repair, finishing and quality control of cold drink equipment
- Maintain and complete required paperwork, such as work tickets, parts list etc.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Bend and twist frequently to complete job functions
- Operate industrial power equipment, i.e., forklift, etc.
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- 0 to 6 plus months of service technician experience (i.e., general construction, electrician, auto mechanic, repairs or other mechanical areas)
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with mobile technology
- Valid driver’s license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
- Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and/or have a valid DOT Medical Card if needed
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb and lift 50 plus pounds.
- Ability to handle exposure to all temperature changes, high noise levels, and safely work around moving equipment.
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to operate industrial power equipment and be certified by the company on industrial power equipment
- Willingness to work flexible hours/shifts including nights and weekends as needed
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Beverage industry experience
- Equipment repair experience
- Distribution and/or Supply Chain experience
