Senior Scientist II, Oncology 2047252Location: Lawrence, KS (Onsite)
Science/ Focus: Oncology
Job Overview: We are looking for a motivated Senior Scientist with expertise in biology and drug discovery to develop new cancer treatments as part of our clients collaborative oncology research team.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Design experiments and validate drug targets using advanced multiomics; optimize assays for small molecule efficacy testing.
- Foster collaborations, drive drug discovery projects, mentor junior scientists, and ensure proper documentation of research.
- Keep informed about scientific advancements, contribute to reports and presentations, and uphold a collaborative, compliant work environment.
- PhD in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, with over 5 years of drug discovery experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in oncology drug discovery, with proficient technical skills in molecular and cell biology techniques.
- Independent thinker with the flexibility to manage and lead complex experiments across multiple research programs, showcasing strong problem-solving skills.
- Highly skilled in computer applications (MS Office, scientific graphing software), with excellent communication abilities and a notable record of scientific publications or presentations at prestigious conferences.
