VelocityEHS is looking for a highly motivated creative and technical Senior Marketing Manager, Digital Web responsible for all aspects of overseeing the VelocityEHS website, ensuring it is up to date, engaging, and advances the brand mission and vision of the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with website design (UX) and technical development, troubleshooting, as well as a strong understanding of search engine optimization and analytics.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders, IT, Brand and Demand Teams to ensure that all web-related projects are completed in a timely manner and to the highest possible standards. This is a fully remote location position, and reports to the VP, Marketing.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation of site content and features to continually improve the website user experience and support the organization’s goals and strategies
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize site performance goals, such as site traffic, lead conversion rates, site health and performance measures
- Manage the website’s content, including creating new pages and functionality, implementing/maintaining/sunsetting plugins and bespoke code solutions, editing and auditing existing content, and removing outdated content
- Stay up to date with the latest web design and development trends and technologies. Recommend ways to improve website UX, identify and fulfil opportunities for improvement based on user feedback and performance metrics
- Conduct A/B tests and other performance measures
- Identify and troubleshoot website technical issues, ensure website functionality and perform software updates
- Monitor, assess, and report on website health and performance
- Monitor site analytics and develop dashboards for performance tracking
- Work closely with internal teams to advise on Web Analytics data use & strategy, and content development
- Increase traffic and engagement to the website. Apply SEO and SEM best practices and strategies
- Develop scripts and code centered on digital attribution, user tracking and tag management
- Assist with social media campaigns and other marketing efforts, including providing support for pay-per-click (PPC) and SEO campaigns developed by the Demand team
- Work with IT team to ensure domain registration and hosting environments are current and operational
- Monitor for website security breaches and respond to them as needed
- Complete tests to ensure website efficiency and quality
- Evaluate competitors’ websites, and follow industry best practices
- Responsible for leading and managing a direct report
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in web design and development with proven experience successfully managing and updating websites, including at least 1 year of people-management experience.
- Strong working knowledge and experience with Content Management Systems (WordPress experience preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with web design and UX
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend revisions/improvements
- Working knowledge of web analytics tools (eg Google Analytics)
- In-depth understanding and applications of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) / SEM (Search Engine Marketing)
- Knowledge of current trends in web development and cross-browser/mobile compatibility issues and workarounds
- Experience converting business requirements to technical solutions
- Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal & written skills, self-starter

VelocityEHS is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices by offering market-based salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is between $120,550 and $151,600 (United States) or $110,850 and $145,650 CAD (Canada). We aim to hire between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range and offers at the maximum of the range are uncommon. The final offered salary will be based on candidate’s proficiency in skill set, prior relevant experience, internal equity, market considerations, and other factors. This role is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.
