The Role
This communication consultant role sits within the Tax-Exempt Market, under Fidelity Wealth. We are aligned closely with Fidelity Workplace Investing, as we support retirement plans for tax-exempt employers and their participants. Our clients are organizations-healthcare, higher ed, government and faith-based-who want to help people live better lives, and our mission is to help their employees become retirement-ready. The Expertise You Have
- Experience in employee benefits communications and/or financial services preferred
- Client consultation experience
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred (or required within 90 days)
The Purpose of Your Role
The purpose of the role is to drive participant engagement with Fidelity's wide array of educational resources, marketing campaigns, tools, and workshops that can help participants make informed financial decisions. The Communications Consultant help our clients determine and map out a communication and education strategy that meets their organizational goals and participant needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in or lead client meetings to review communication requirements, deliverables, negotiate deadlines, and review budget implications
- Strategize on the best approach to communicate critical information to participants in the most effective channel while prioritizing digital approaches
- Manage the creation and deployment of communications related to defined contribution/non-qualified plans and associated Fidelity products and services
- Respond to client inquiries quickly with answers that go beyond the stated need and delight the client
- Ensure strong client satisfaction through the seamless execution of effective communications strategies based upon client needs and goals, and delivering high quality communication services
- Uncover plan-level opportunities by reviewing data from various internal sources and turning those data points into a cohesive story with clear actionable steps
- Play the liaison between our marketing team and the client to ensure our marketing campaigns are understood and agreed to prior to distribution
- Communicate operational updates to participants such as fund or fee changes
- Measure and report successes/opportunities based on the results of our communications
- Ensure regulatory mailings are set up and distributed in adherence with FINRA and DOL requirements
- Estimate cost of projects and bill for our services (when applicable)
- Up to 25% travel
