We are looking for an experienced senior Cloud Engineer who can design, develop and deploy cloud services to deliver digital experiences that serve athletes and consumers. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in JavaScript and NodeJS, along with deep understanding of AWS infrastructure, services and configuration. You should be able to own a functional area and complete features to specification, on schedule and with high quality, while collaborating with front-end and platform engineering teams.

You will be a part of the Global Technology organization working closely with our clients Membership and Commerce teams. You will work on features and functionalities to make the website experiences rewarding and engaging for our clients members.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high quality APIs to enable consumer-grade, responsive web and app experiences.
- Design, implement and integrate web/app and cloud services which can run reliably at scale.
- Collaborate with technologists and product managers to help define and get technical clarification on features.
- Utilize standards and methodologies to code for quality and maintainability.
- Work in a fast-paced agile environment
- Work in true DevOps fashion owning the entire tech stack
- Solve big engineering challenges to serve our worldwide athletes* at scale
- Grow and keep our APIs fast, efficient, available
- Assist with Sprint planning and organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or relevant software experience.
- 6+ years of developing Restful APIs
- Strong programming expertise in JavaScript and Node.js
- Experience developing and deploying NodeJS services in production at scale.
- Proven ability to produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
- Experience solving difficult engineering challenges using tools from the AWS tech stack including, but not limited to Lambda, API Gateway, Route53, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, S3, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, EC2, VPC etc.
- Understanding of monitoring, tracing and observability tools, techniques and best practices.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker and DevOps.
- Working knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and/or Agile principles and practice.
- Excellent communication skills in working with globally distributed teams.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60 to $64 hourly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
