This is primarily a first-shift position with required flexibility to work any shift; including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
What You'll Do
As a member of our Security Patrol team, you'll conduct armed patrols to monitor numerous properties to provide safety and security of Sentry associates, visitors, and assets.
Conduct armed patrols to monitor the interior and exterior of numerous premises to prevent and detect any risks to Sentry associates and property. This includes but is not limited to monitoring cameras, security systems and numerous other devices, checking for tampering or damage to property and equipment, detecting health and safety issues, and the identification of unauthorized individuals.
Collaborate with security management to identify, coordinate, and lead training, ensuring the team is prepared to respond appropriately to all security events.
Assist security management with providing work direction and reviewing logs for other security officers to ensure all work is properly and effectively done.
Analyze and lead responses to emergency situations, taking command of the scene and security team. This may include providing medical attention, deescalating a situation by using verbal and physical tactics, applying appropriate use of force techniques in defense of self or others, giving direction to the team and those nearby, escorting emergency personnel through the building, and handling communication/reporting after situations to ensure all completion.
Complete and review team members incident reports regarding any irregularities, such as equipment and property damage, safety and health issues, theft, workplace violence incidents, presence of unauthorized individuals, and any other unusual occurrences to ensure proper reporting and handling all of situations.
Collaborate with security management and senior leadership across the organization to develop and maintain onsite/offsite security plans, ensuring the team is knowledgeable and trained on appropriate actions to take in an emergency. Provides close proximity security of individuals or groups at on/offsite events and residences as determined necessary under the protection program.
What it Takes
Associate Degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
Must have or be able to obtain valid Wisconsin Concealed Carry Permit and/or HR 218/LEOSA certification; LEOSA certification preferred.
Previous experience in law enforcement or military preferred.
Must have or be able to obtain professional industry certifications.
Must be able to pass annual Fit for Duty evaluation.
Must be able to pass annual firearms qualification course.
Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
Experience with EP programs is highly desirable.
