Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Facilities Planner. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.
What You'll Get To Do: 

• Plans utilization of space and facilities for company consistent with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds.

• Plans, directs and manages all phases of equipment and machinery maintenance, facilities modification and building projects from establishment of design concepts through design and implementation.

• Performs routine repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance inspections of office facilities and equipment.

• Ensures project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified.

• Acts as primary contact for facilities, and equipment and machinery maintenance, project activities and leads project reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance.

• Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans, budgets and schedules.

• Identifies problems and develops solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope.

• Assists with campus-wide projects working collaboratively with Facilities Engineers and Project Managers.

• Develops, plans and executes office and furniture modifications, as needed. Gathers, tracks and maintains all Facilities attic stock inventory.

• May coordinate the work of employees assigned to the project.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:

• 5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters. 4 additional years of relevant experience may be added in lieu of degree.

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

• Candidate must have a valid driver's license to drive company facilities vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• In scope active DOD Secret clearance or above.

• Prior Northrop Grumman experience in facilities, construction management, and integration.

• Familiarity with facility layouts, drawings, and schematics.

• Experience supporting Northrop Grumman or government contracting/DoD facilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all stakeholders and SDS leadership.

• 5+ years of ICBM experience.

Salary Range: $84,600 - $127,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
