Position Summary:

Alkermes is seeking an experienced SAP Supply Chain Solutions Analyst to play a key role in our upcoming S/4 implementation. This position will bridge technical expertise with business process knowledge to transform our supply chain operations. This position is a key member of the SAP Team and will also serve as the primary liaison between the SAP Team and the local SAP super users across all functions. In addition, this individual will lead and manage related business and systems initiatives from a technical perspective. 

The role will be based in Wilmington, OH (hybrid) and will require up to 25% travel during the implementation and infrequent travel after. Locations include Waltham, MA (primary) and Ireland (Dublin & Athlone).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the SI to lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4 supply chain functions. 
  • Map current business processes to target future state processes, leveraging SAP best practices.
  • Support the configuration and testing of supply chain processes in compliance with GxP regulations and all other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop migration strategies for existing supply chain master data and transactions.
  • Partner with business leads in the development of validation documentation in accordance with CSV/CSA requirements.
  • Partner with the business in the development of the SAP Supply Chain Solutions roadmap ensuring integration into the overall IT & SAP strategic plans through coordination with the SAP team and broader IT organization.
  • Develop meaningful long-term relationships with business functions/stakeholders to gain deep understanding of business needs.
  • Communicate business partner value by quantifying impacts and clearly articulating value realized.
  • Troubleshooting and leading the evaluation and design of the correction for complex incidents; ensure that appropriate action is taken in a timely manner, reporting any potential SLA breaches / or other issues.
  • Communicating technical and business issues/solutions to all levels of individuals, including managers, directors, and executives.
  • Maintaining a high level of functional competency regarding the standard configuration of the Supply Chain & Manufacturing area, by staying abreast of new trends, future enhancements and leveraging best practices.  Assist with the evaluation, development and implementation phases of such initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain procedures relating to system support responsibilities in SOPs/Work Instructions as required.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP Process Industry Supply Chain functions (Manufacturing Operations, Production Engineering, Production Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement) gathering requirements, configuring, customizing and support
  • Integration across other SAP lines of business (Quality Management, Product Lifecycle Management, Order Management, Warehousing, Finance)
  • Integration with Advanced Planning Solutions preferred
  • Minimum 4 full lifecycle implementations in SAP, S4 a plus
  • Willingness to travel when required

  • Experience in Pharma or Life Sciences preferred
  • SAP (S4) certification(s), preferred
  • ITIL experience, preferred
