Job Summary
We are looking for a research assistant in the School of Information at the University of Michigan, under principal investigator Prof. Grant Schoenebeck.
Our lab focuses on eliciting information from intellectual agents and aggregating such information to make proper decisions. You will help design and implement a program and a web app to further these goals and for human subject experiments crucial for our ongoing research projects.
Responsibilities*
- Develop and maintain an online system for human subject experiments
- Design user-friendly interfaces for experiment participants
- Integrate frameworks such as Django to support backend processes
- Collaborate with lab members to refine system requirements and features
- Conduct testing and updates to ensure smooth functionality across platforms
Required Qualifications*
- Currently pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor's or master?s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- Experience in web development and familiarity with at least one web framework (e.g., Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails).
- Experience with front-end technologies and UI/UX design.
- Experience with organizational and documentation skills, ensuring code clarity and maintainability. This includes using Github, writing clear comments, creating detailed README files, and maintaining up-to-date documentation that facilitates ease of understanding for current and future developers.
Work Locations
The position is part-time and will be conducted primarily remotely, on-site is also appreciated depending on project needs.

Additional Information
