The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in safeguarding product quality and operational compliance, collaborating across functions like Sourcing, Project Management, and Engineering to identify gaps and implement sustainable improvements. This position manages compliance audits, and supports certification processes to uphold industry standards. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive problem-solvers with strong communication skills and experience in audit and certification processes.
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing and improving quality assurance processes and support daily activities to maximize product quality and productivity.
- Leading the Customer survey process with reporting and working with teams to identify improvement opportunities.
- Supporting Internal & External audit planning and execution.
- Monitoring and maintaining compliance calendar/certs
- Working across functionally to drive closure of audit findings with corrective and preventative actions to support site continuous improvements.
- Driving standardization, solutions, and optimization of business processes.
- Reviewing and processing documents supporting the Nuclear Value Stream
- Maintaining the integrity of the Quality Records in accordance with Company and ASME Code requirements
- Compiling documents into completed documentation packages for delivery to the Authorized Nuclear Inspector and Customer
- Working with customer service teams to survey process with reporting and working with teams to identify improvement opportunities.
- Supporting documentation & quality control teams with customer requirements

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelors degree or high school diploma and equivalent work experience
- Have experience working in a team environment
- Have experience with maintaining business certifications and site certifications
- Have working experience with internal and external audits preferred
- Be able to display understanding of defects, problem-solving skills or an enthusiasm to learn and develop your skill set in a hands-on environment
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to be a valuable team player
- Be a strong team player who works to make the entire team successful
