This is a second shift role for our Anoka facility!


WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Directly lead production employees in assigned Value Stream, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance.
  • Look after day-to-day production activities within the value stream(s) to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.
  • Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily.
  • Partner with human resources on employee relations to ensure accurate procedures and practices are followed.
  • Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent's safety programs.
  • Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.
  • Support new process and product development and implementation
  • Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed


YOU HAVE:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Ideally 5+ years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience
  • Ideally 3+ years’ experience in leadership
  • Experienced with operating computers specifically Windows platform, Word and Excel, and JD Edwards


SKILLS

  • Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment.
  • Skilled at effective communications at both technical and leadership levels. Skills must include good interpersonal expertise, professional speaking capabilities, and ability to understand information and ideas as presented.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize time/workload and delegate work in order to accomplish tasks and meet a target date.
  • Ability to adapt to business circumstances; be willing adapt in a continuously developing business environment
