Position Description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for production and maintenance planning and scheduling for the plant. The incumbent reports to the Plant Manager.

• Planning and scheduling of all products produced at the facility.
• Develop optimized and prioritized production schedules.
• Planning and scheduling of maintenance projects as they relate to production capacity.
• Generate weekly and monthly charts, graphs, and reports for the management and sales team.
• Serve as a liaison between customer service and the plant.
• Date orders and update lead-time using QAD and other databases to meet customer requirements.
• Understand customer needs, measure performance against it and implement solutions to continuously improve customer satisfaction and inventory levels.
• Perform inventory control checks to monitor in-process and finished goods inventory levels.

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree, business, supply chain, technology based degree or equivalent experience, required.
• Minimum of 2 to 5-year production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, production, procurement and quality basics, engineering flows and ability to read technical data i.e., blue prints, schematics and other documents.
• Understanding of ERP systems, QAD preferred.
• Intermediate to advance knowledge on Microsoft Office applications tools:
  • Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Project; emphasizing on advance knowledge of Excel;
  • Familiarity with Windows environments is essential.
  • Must have the ability to adjust to changing priorities, multiple demands and crises
