About the Job:
Toyota Material Handling is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team in Production Control as a Production Control Planner. This position reports to the Scheduling/Production Planning Supervisor and is responsible for delivering results. This role allows the team member to work closely with multiple departments including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering to coordinate the work that needs to be accomplished daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Levels production based on deep understanding of leveling rules and how they affect processes throughout the facility.
- Creating daily schedules for production lines to maintain sequence throughout the plant
- Create daily reports for management to review current sales conditions
- Observe shop floor condition to make necessary adjustments to the Work in Process
- Printing, sorting, and distributing instructions to shop floor processes
- Understands Work in Process on the shop floor and evaluates adjustments needed to overall calculation
- Successfully utilizes root cause analysis to solve problems
- Maintain great communication with related departments on issues in the offline area
- Understand how to create and maintain the instruction system
- Generate reports based off sales and production
- Parts ordering
- Work with cross functional departments to coordinate sourcing of parts
- Ability to lead small scale projects with other departments
- Implement Engineering Change Instructions
- Maintain sales data and production plans
- Work with cross functional departments to implement Temporary Design Request
- Project management for Production Control functions
- Manage instructions for daily production and model launch projects
- Additional duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Associates degree in Business/Supply Chain or 2 years of experience in Manufacturing/Supply Chain
High attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable with Excel formulas and data analytics
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong desire to learn
CPSM, IBF, or APICS certification is a plus
