DISTRIBUTION CENTER SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Procurement & DC Operations Manager is responsible for directing the overall activities of a complex telecommunications distribution center operation necessary to support the attainment of company commercial sales and retention goals, and operating company communication needs. This position provides leadership and direction in the effective and efficient vendor management, procurement, receiving, maintenance, secure storage, distribution, vendor payment, and reconciliation of multi-millions of dollars of company assets, including handset and data equipment, as well as related accessories. The position is also responsible for the maintenance of the distribution center facility, including security systems, safety compliance and adherence, landlord requirements such as insurance, maintenance of building systems, and adherence to terms and conditions of the building lease, and contracting with outside vendors for building services such as cleaning, trash, and pest control. This position builds and leads a strong team, providing growth and development to effectively provide updates and identify potential risks impacting financial results.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Undergraduate degree with a major (or a significant focus) in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related concentration. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide leadership and management of the Southern Linc Distribution Center. 
  • Make business decisions that impact sales, revenue, costs, and customers, and that significantly contribute to the overall success of the business and the meeting of Company goals.
  • Conduct planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure the availability of reliable inventory record information to make effective decisions regarding inventory.
  • Establish and execute inventory processes and procedures, including Procure to Pay and Order to Cash, to ensure meeting of service levels and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Ensure team possesses knowledge and tools to efficiently process inventory transactions while strictly adhering to internal controls and ensuring company assets are protected and secure. 
  • Negotiate and fulfill agreements with external parties. 
  • Manage performance of direct reports and ensure development of employees throughout the department.
  • Expects top performance and accountability through inspiring leadership and proven performance planning, coaching, development, motivation, and knowledge transfer. 
  • Provides the adequate training and resources for employees to be successful in carrying out their duties. 
  • Develop relationships with internal business units, vendors, landlord, and suppliers to ensure the Distribution Center is represented in company initiatives and system best practices that meet or exceed vendor and customer needs, while also meeting the Company’s goals and objectives.
