What's the role
As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for packaging bulk materials into vessels (Totes, Drums, Pails, Jugs, and Tubes), receiving raw materials, and preparing finished products for shipment. This includes the loading and offloading of trucks, railcars, totes, and drums.
Accountabilities:
Overseeing the loading and offloading process of trucks and rail cars, ensuring the delivery of the correct products and volumes ordered.
Preparing proper hose connections to facilitate the receipt of raw materials from bulk trucks and rail cars.
Verifying that the receiving vessel can accommodate the volume of raw materials or finished products being transferred.
Handling drummed and packaged materials both manually and with powered industrial equipment as required.
Acquiring samples of bulk and packaged raw materials and finished products as needed.
Performing work functions around large batch bulk blending processes, using raw material blending recipes to produce bulk finished products around our three main chemistries.
Performing work functions involving small batch kettle blending processes.
Performing packing production processes involving Totes, Drums, 20L pails, 5L, 1L bottles, and 1LB tubes.
Acquiring visual level and temperature readings of tanks daily, along with manual tape gauges performed monthly.
Performing computer-related tasks necessary to ensure that a quality product is delivered to the customer on time and in the quantity ordered, along with any necessary paperwork.
Performing all work functions in a manner that supports Corporate and FWL Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental objectives.
Contributing to a clean and orderly workplace by adhering to routine cleaning schedules.
Following HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environmental) guidelines in all activities/tasks
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Relevant work experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Relevant post-secondary education is a plus
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
Strong computer literacy skills
Willingness to continually learn and upgrade proficiency
Ability to juggle several conflicting priorities without compromising safety or quality
Strong, proven sense of urgency
Ability to work in a high-performance, team-based environment that requires a high degree of autonomous decision-making
Excellent communication skills highly valued
Ability to learn, execute, and eventually write and follow procedures as required
Ability to function in a dynamic, team-based work environment
Ability to work as a team and alone
Familiarity with GSAP or SAP is an asset
Must possess a valid driver's license
Willing to work a rotating shift schedule
Able to serve as a member of an emergency response team
Using safe lifting techniques, able to lift and carry 20 kg from ground to waist level
Ability to work safely wearing a respirator or Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)
Willing to comply with Shell's drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures
Willing to work in a diverse and team-oriented environment

The rate for this position is $26.28 - $34.43. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
