Job Summary
This position is at the Comprehensive Wound Care Clinic at Domino?s Farms. Employee will work with multidisciplinary team to evaluate and treat wounds.The patient population in this clinic is complex with generally high-acuity. Many patients need assistance to ambulate or are wheelchair/stretcher-bound. Care is individualized and specialized. The Wound Care Clinic patients are seen routinely; therefore, the candidate works to build respectful relationships with patients and their caregivers. The clinic takes great pride in patient care and our patient satisfaction scores are consistently in the 96-98th percentile.

Responsibilities*
- To evaluate and treat patients with wounds and/or chronic skin conditions related to various diseases, injuries, disorders and disabilities, to relieve pain, develop and restore function and maintain maximum performance using physical modalities, dressings, casts and exercise as prescribed by a physician. Modalities include, but are not limited to, pulsed lavage, debridement, total contact casting, compression and electrical stimulation.
- This position requires movement that includes standing/walking, lifting, positioning, pushing and/or transferring of patients. Maintains current competencies and mandatory training. Attends mandatory clinic and hospital training programs. Actively participates in clinic and staff meetings.
Required Qualifications*
- Masters or DPT degree in physical therapy or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. Satisfactory completion of an internship program.
- Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment is necessary. Possession of a current state license to practice physical therapy in the State of Michigan is necessary.
- Willingness to work together with a multidisciplinary staff to achieve exceptional patient care. Demonstrated ability to problem solve in a collaborative manner. Demonstrated ability to
- develop collaborative relationships with team members. Demonstrated accountability to departmental standards. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using the electronic medical record and Microsoft office products including Excel.
Desired Qualifications*
- Ideal candidate would have wound care experience and/or board certification in wound care.
- If not currently certified in wound care, ideal candidate would obtain certification within 24 months of employment.
- Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider course completion.
- Good attendance.

Work Schedule
This is a part-time, 24 hour per week position. Clinic open hours are 7:30-6:00. No weekend or Holiday requirement.

Background Screening
