Packaging Designer - Rebrand / CPG
Our client is looking to bring on a Packaging Designer to help their creative team with a rebrand / packaging redesign project. This will be an ongoing project for the next 2-3 months, with hours ranging per week.
The Packaging Designer will be responsible for revitalizing product packaging and enhancing brand identity through innovative design solutions that resonate with consumers. This role requires a strong understanding of packaging design principles and branding strategies, with an emphasis on consumer packaged goods (CPG), ideally in the food/snack space.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to innovate and update packaging designs that align with the brand vision.
- Develop and present design concepts for new and existing products, focusing on innovation and consumer engagement.
- Work with existing market research to understand consumer preferences and industry trends, applying insights to design decisions.
- Create and refine logo designs and brand identity elements that enhance product appeal.
- Design seasonal packaging that reflects current market trends and maximizes sales opportunities.
- Select color palettes and typography that align with brand standards and resonate with the target audience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in packaging design, branding, and logo design, specifically within the CPG industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of packaging design projects and brand identity work.
- Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Experience in project management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
