ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receives customer service inquiry and complaint calls. Expedites or research to expedite customer service needs.
Tracks, monitors and coordinates the flow of work orders, service requests, inspections, claims, and public records requests.
Maintains computerized records and provides various automated reports.
Evaluates and assists in analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining automated/computerized systems.
Evaluates software needs and training/documentation.
Advises and assists departmental computer users with problems and requests.
Coordinates field crews for the inspection and repair of City infrastructure.
Coordinates field crews for emergency response calls as needed.
Inputs service and repair work orders utilizing multiple work management systems.
Maintains computerized and hard copy files for any Operations programs including but not limited to Progression-through-Training (PTTP) programs and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program.
Acts as timekeeper and processes paperwork and reports associated with this function.
Monitors radio base station for divisional dispatching and assistance to maintenance crews and technicians.
May design user interfaces, applying graphic and creative artistic skills.
May work in asset management systems assisting with pavement management program.
Assists supervisors with confidential/sensitive materials and record keeping related to labor agreements, personnel matters, and/or criminal records.
May direct work of other clerical staff.
Attends work on continuous and regular basis.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Below are the required education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in data processing, computer sciences, computer programming, information systems or system engineering and 2 years of responsible customer service experience, or a 2 year degree with 2 years of related experience and 2 years of responsible customer service experience, or a High School diploma with a minimum of 4 years of related experience and 2 years of responsible customer service experience which provides an equivalent combination of training and experience to have the required knowledge, ability, and skills.

Licenses
Valid Florida Driver License required within 30 days of appointment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of City Departments, their functions and service areas.
Knowledge of basic technical and construction terminology.
Basic knowledge of programming languages.
Excellent written and oral communications skills as demonstrated by the ability to articulate complex information and issues clearly and concisely.
Experience working within a work management system.
Strong interpersonal skills as demonstrated by the ability to interact collaboratively and productively and to build effective relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds, including City staff, local, state and national organizations and the general public.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately to sensitive/confidential issues.
Ability to resolve customer complaints and answer inquiries tactfully, courteously, and effectively.
Ability to use computerized spreadsheets, word-processing and data manipulation software.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to keep records and prepare reports.
Ability to prioritize assignments and work with limited supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work effectively with coworkers and the general public.
