Job responsibilities
* Plan, organize, manage and monitor the work unit's activities/operations according to their field of expertise.
* Supervise the team's activities.
* Review quality control audit reports and observations in order to maintain a high level of quality and consistency.
* Ensure compliance and communicate relevant information within the unit.
* Optimize and implement the team's working procedures and techniques in order to improve quality.
* Manage human capital including workforce planning, hiring, performance management and daily monitoring of productivity.
* Facilitate knowledge development and ensure the team's efficiency and mobilization in order to achieve the expected results.
* Determine the necessary actions to be taken in order to streamline efficiency.
* Communicate the necessary information to keep the team(s) and the organization abreast of the team's work plan, policies, projects, processes, results, actions and recommendations taken to meet arising needs.
* Represent their work units, both internally and externally, as to consultation and/or information and/or reference.
* Participate in drafting/revising SOPs.
* Participate in regulatory agency inspections and client audits as well as the ensuing response process.
* Supervise, coach, and mentor staff.
* Oversee development of direct reports by setting goals, conducting performance reviews, evaluating and monitoring training needs, creating development plans, mentoring, and coachingSet priorities and schedule activities of departmental resources, implement company objectives, and create alternative solutions to address business and operational challenges.
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
This position requires direct people management experience. We will not consider those who do NOT have experience managing direct reports.
* Bachelor degree (science related field preferred).
* Relative alternate certification may be considered acceptable.
* Must demonstrate good computer skills especially in the utilization of Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent communications, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade.
* Experience in regulatory context will be considered an asset.
* Ability to travel as necessary (approximately 10%).
* Experience managing technical staff.
* English level: Required bilingualism includes understanding various messages, exchanging verbally on subjects related to the tasks to be executed, and writing simple messages.
