Location: South Lake Medical Center
Position: Medical Assistant
The ideal applicant should be able to multitask while working in a high-volume office, be a good team player, and provide compassionate care to patients.
Job Duties
- Measuring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, and height
- Keeping accurate patient records and ensuring that all related reports, information, and lab results are filed and organized with their patient records
- Keeping exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and instruments
- Preparing and cleaning examination rooms between patients
- Answering phone calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies
- Calling in prescriptions and prescription refills
- Working Pre-Authorizations for medications, including denials and appeals
