Job DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manger Process Manufacturing 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Advanced Composites Center organization. This leadership role is located in El Segundo, CA.
The Manager Process Manufacturing 2 will have the responsibility of managing supervisors who manage the shop floor personnel. The selected candidate will manage, direct and lead the activities of a cross functional product team responsible for continuous improvements to the cost, quality and schedule of its product line. In this roll you will have complete responsibility to ensure performance goals are met on a daily basis. Expectations for success will be to develop and maintain open lines of communication to ensure high levels of supplier and customer satisfaction, promote the development of self-directed work groups and a work environment which encourages training and opportunities for its work force, ensure compliance to all state, corporate and sector policies related to health, safety, environmental and equal opportunity regulations. The selected candidate has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading the manufacturing activities of a cross functional product team responsible for continuous improvements to the cost, quality and schedule of its product line. Additionally, this role will lead integration efforts & special projects for the Advanced Composites Center, which will include the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:

• Providing direction and coaching to technicians and front-line managers in the Advanced Composites Center
• Ensures team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives.
• Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.
• Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.   
• The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
• Responsible for cost, quality, schedule performance and team engagement as part of the Operations leadership team

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment OR High School Diploma/GED AND 9 years of experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
• Must have 2 years of prior management/leadership experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required) as well as the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access
• Composite Process and Manufacturing build experience required

• Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present presentations with various levels of leadership
Salary Range: $114,100 - $171,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
