The Maintenance Equipment Operator I will operate dump trucks, snow plows, sanders, tractor-drawn mowers and other equipment for grounds maintenance; operate light vehicles such as passenger cars and panel trucks for transporting personnel and materials and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate dump trucks, snow plows, sanders, tractor-drawn mowers and other equipment for grounds maintenance.
• Operate light vehicles such as passenger cars and panel trucks for transporting personnel and materials.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment and perform related work as required.

• Knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of motor vehicles and power-operated equipment.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures followed in the operation of motor vehicles and power-operated equipment.
• Knowledge of the types and uses of snow removal and ice control equipment.
• Skill in the operation of motor vehicles and power-oriented equipment.
• Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class D license and knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of motor vehicles.
• Ability to obtain a Hoisters license before the end of the probation period.

Salary: $2,155.62 bi-weekly/$56,046.12 annual. Grade: 13. Full Time Benefited position.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
