Baker Hughes is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Supervisor - Nights position as part of the Drill Bit Manufacturing organization.The Lean Manufacturing Supervisor will lead and supervise a team of night shift manufacturing personnel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and sustaining Lean manufacturing principles, driving continuous improvement, and leading process excellence initiatives to achieve significant improvements in safety, efficiency, productivity, and quality.
As a Lean Manufacturing Supervisor - Nights, you will be responsible for:
- Supervise and lead a team of front-line manufacturing personnel to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently to meet safety, quality, production and cost goals.
- Collaborate with the production planning team to develop and implement production schedules.
- Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing principles, including process analysis, waste reduction, and quality improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvements with a focus on safety and productivity
- Manage and control production budgets, including resource allocation, inventory, and material management.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
- Develops, analyzes, and presents weekly reports, including but not limited to, personnel efficiency, productivity, and safety.
- Conduct regular audits and assessment to ensure compliance with Lean principles and company policies.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to manufacturing personnel on Lean principles and practices
This is a 2nd shift position Monday-Friday 4:00pm-2:00am

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration) - mechanical, industrial or supply chain preferred
- 2 plus years' manufacturing experience as a supervisor or team lead
- 2 years' experience implementing Lean principles and practices, including visual management, 6S, Standard Work, process analysis, waste reduction, and quality improvement.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing principles, concepts, theories and practices of area of responsibility.
- Lean certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt) are preferred.
- Experience generating plant production reports - preferably using SAP, Excel or Tableau
- Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and customer focused with a drive for results.
- Experience with financial and data analysis and statistical process control.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
