National Grid is hiring aLead Data Analyst, Management Data Analysis for Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our locations.
Job Purpose
National Grid is looking for self-motivated, self-learning and skilled analyst to support daily administrative operation within Substation Engineering and Design.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for initiating work order from Power Plan for capital projects within Substations
- Administrative liaison for MSA contractors
- Processing invoice received from MSA contractor and initiating purchase requisition for substation equipment and other material.
- Work with Engineers for invoice validation, processing change order for MSA and provisional need supporting engineering activities.
- Data management with tracking and managing the deliverable with dashboard data to support KPI and decision making for the department.
- Support CIP, PRC and other regulatory requirement along with following local policies and guideline.
- Organizing documents and perform data management with verification, analysis, and following consistency.
- Provides insight and input on opportunities for enhancing standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Involved in the development of new processes, policies, and standards.
- Develop documentation for knowledge transfer. Mentor and coach intern or new hires.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed, as well as other duties as assigned.
- Performs and implements special assignments as necessary.
- Responsible for storm restoration and emergency assignments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administrative or equivalent education with 10 years of related experience.
- Familiarity with SAP Ariba Software.
- Understanding of financial terms, utility accounting and budgeting principles and practices.
- Proficiency with Excel with macro, pivot table, complex formula, charts.
- Knowledge of Sharepoint and Power BI.
- Adaptability with changes, new initiatives and improvement
- Demonstration of effective time management and task prioritization.
- Demonstrates personal ownership and accountability for delivering on customer commitments and resolving customer queries in a timely way.
- Ability to explain and apply techniques for analyzing and capturing data and data change requirements.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstration of a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with a diverse group of personnel.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Salary - $116,000 - $136,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
