National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst - Modeler based for any of the following locations: Syracuse NY, Albany NY, Brooklyn NY, Hicksville NY, or Melville location.
This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of those locations.
Job Purpose
The Lead Analyst is responsible for developing, owning, and enhancing various financial models and tools used by the Customer Connections organization in the Contribution in Aid of Construction (CIAC) process across UNY, DNY, and MA.
Additionally, this role involves supporting rate development, conducting financial analysis, and implementing process improvements.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop, own, and enhance financial models and tools used in the day-to-day Contribution in Aid of Construction (CIAC) process
- Demonstrate proficiency in a wide variety of financial concepts necessary for modeling and interpreting data for complex financial analysis
- Support he design and implementation of model standards and controls
- Support creation of CIAC model databases
- Analyze CIAC model data and create performance reports with metrics
- Develop a detailed understanding of the applicable rules and regulations the Company operates under (i.e. tariffs)
- Provide guidance and lead implementation of new model improvement initiatives
- Support training on CIAC model and tools to new and existing employees
- Build positive relationships at all levels of the organization, including project teams and committees
- Engage people and develop them through teamwork and high level of participation
- Support and actively participate in department and committee Performance HUBs
- Monitor adherence to established departmental processes and procedures
- Contribute to the accomplishment of CCPS department, Customer Connections, Account Management, Customer and Company goals and objectives
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years of related professional experience
- Proficient in relevant software and tools including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience in company systems (BI, Power BI, SAP GUI, STORMS, CSS and PowerPlant)
- Knowledge and understanding of National Grid's regulatory tariffs and policies, specifically related to CIAC (Contribution in Aid of Constructions)
- Knowledge of Cost Accounting
- Ability to think across different processes and provide innovative solutions

Upstate NY Salary:$110,000 - $129,000 a year
Downstate NY Salary: $132,000 - $155,000 a year
