The Pittsville Police Department is seeking a Maryland Certified Police Officer who is currently or previously certified. Certification Must Be Within MPCTC Guidelines. The starting pay is competitive with fully funded health insurance/vision/dental, retirement, short term and long-term disability, vacation/personal leave and sick time. Previous MPCTC certified candidates must have been separated in good standing from a Maryland law enforcement agency within the last three (3) years from the date of hire. Applicants will be evaluated based on their education and experience, Chief’s Interview, polygraph/VSA examination, psychological evaluation and passage of a medical evaluation and background investigation as a condition of employment. Applications may be obtained from the Pittsville Police Department, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, or the Pittsville Town Office during normal business hours.
