What You'll Do
Our Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Internship offers opportunities to experience various areas within our Infrastructure team: In the:
- Cloud & Platform Engineering teams - You will work alongside seasoned platform engineers while gaining exposure to our methods for creating, maintaining, and continuously improving modern public and private cloud ecosystems. Along this journey, you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge of cloud concepts, programmatic manipulation of infrastructure, enterprise platform administration, modern deployment methods, and overall delivery of infrastructure services designed to keep our software engineers focused on one thing - developing quality applications.
- Network Engineering team, you will work in a multi-vendor network environment that provides connectivity between data centers, offices, and user devices which includes technologies such as sd-wan, wireless, and VPN along with working with security technologies such as firewalls, Internet proxies, and content delivery networks.
- Communication and Collaboration team, you will learn to administer and support industry-standard electronic communications and collaboration platforms including Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and Confluence.
In addition, you will:
- Respond to system and platform problems by analyzing the problem, formulating a solution, and changing or repairing the system or application to avoid costly interruption of services to users
- Learn to provide technical administration and support for a variety of Infrastructure technologies
- Follow Sentry Information Technology standards and procedures
What it Takes
To be considered for this position, the following criteria is necessary:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science, MIS, CIS, computer engineering, network engineering, or a related field
- Obtain a minimum in-major GPA of 3.0
- Graduating May 2026- May 2027
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
