What you will do:
Current college students of all levels will work as part of a larger team to provide hands-on support and design/development for various engineering, real-world aspects of our business. This could include work on active construction sites, solar energy project transactions, performance testing, and project management! In addition to working alongside full-time employees carrying out engineering functions for NorthStar Clean Energy, Engineering Interns will have the option to participate in several additional optional events within the program. This includes networking events, company tours, professional development workshops, cross-functional speaker sessions, and an executive speaker series.
Mechanical/Environmental/Civil Engineering Intern assignments may include opportunities in:
* Construction quality control
* SCADA systems
* Commissioning for utility scale solar projects
* Supporting Solar Energy project transactions and technical due diligence
* Improve our data room management
* Trackers and processes for project acquisition/development
* Supporting the project management functions of the onsite team in all tasks from business development through construction

Actively enrolled and pursuing an ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a specific focus in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering. The following MUST be true to be eligible for an Intern role.
* A current student:
- currently pursuing Bachelor's in Engineering at ABET school OR
- currently pursuing a Master's in Engineering at ABET school OR
- currently pursuing an Engineering-related Master's while having completed a Bachelor's in Engineering at ABET school
- Minimum GPA requirement of 2.7 or higher.
* Candidates for positions with NorthStar Clean Energy must be legally authorized to permanently work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This role may require reporting to an assigned headquarter. Leaders will discuss the work arrangements which best fit the nature of the work along with overall business needs.
