As an Instructional Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative and effective training solutions that enhance employee performance. You will conduct in-depth analyses to identify training needs, design engaging learning experiences, and evaluate the impact of your programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Needs Assessment and Design:
- Conduct thorough job task analyses and needs assessments to identify performance gaps and training opportunities.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop comprehensive training plans, including goals, objectives, and evaluation strategies.
- Design engaging and effective training programs, leveraging a variety of delivery methods such as instructor-led training, e-learning, and blended learning.
- E-Learning Development:
- Utilize advanced authoring tools like Articulate 360 to create interactive and visually appealing e-learning courses.
- Develop engaging multimedia content, including videos, simulations, and interactive exercises.
- Ensure that e-learning courses are accessible and user-friendly for learners of all abilities.
- Program Evaluation and Improvement:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through various methods, such as surveys, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Analyze evaluation data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future training initiatives.
- Continuously monitor and update training programs to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
Required Skills:
- Strong instructional design skills, including knowledge of adult learning theories and principles.
- Proficiency in authoring tools like Articulate 360.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in underwriting.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $28.04 to $31.16/hr (W2). Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
