Seeking a Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor

We are looking for a Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in a role that combines compassion with professional expertise to guide patients through their treatment process.About the Role:As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will:
- Assist patients through evidence-based medically-assisted treatment programs.
- Lead both individual and group sessions that focus on crisis management, coping strategies, and recovery support.
- Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care for patients.
- Conducting individual assessments and interviews to evaluate service eligibility.
- Establishing and reviewing personalized treatment plans for each patient.
- Completing bio-psychosocial assessments to better understand patient needs.
- Providing regular individual and group counseling services.
- Involving families and significant others in the patients recovery process when possible.
- Addressing patient concerns and grievances in a compassionate and timely manner.
- Developing aftercare and discharge plans to ensure continuity of care.
- Assisting with additional responsibilities as determined by your supervisor.
- A Bachelors Degree and 3+ years of individual counseling experience, or a Masters Degree in Behavioral Science with at least 2 years of experience.
- Experience working with chemically dependent individuals or those battling substance use disorders is highly valued.
- A counselor with a non-judgmental, accepting, and positive approach to patient care.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
