Thryv is seeking a Finance Systems Manager to join Thryv’s Global Corporate Finance & Accounting team in a full-time position. This individual will be a key stakeholder maximizing Thryv's investment in Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning.  The individual must be a self-starter, strong communicator, and innovative leader who is highly driven with a collaborative team mindset. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders, be involved in system administration and support, and will also assist in strategy, manage further deployment projects, and be responsible for developing solutions. The successful candidate has strong business and systems acumen, with a thorough understanding of finance systems, project management and system implementation lifecycles, and digital finance transformation.

Responsibilities

·       Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday Financials by staying up to date on all feature releases, regularly engaging with the Workday Community and networking opportunities, and promoting system best practices.

·       Manage and execute critical priorities for Thryv’s Corporate Finance organization by driving finance system projects and enhancements to define future state processes based on business needs and system functionality, to automate and streamline processes leveraging technology-based solutions.  Manage system implementation and enhancement lifecycle across all phases (design, build, test, deploy) ensuring clearly defined project scope and requirements align to objectives.  Communicate upstream and downstream system and related process impacts, gaps, risk, and dependencies,  Develop and execute project plans in collaboration with the Finance and Technology teams using defined management methodologies and facilitating frequent and open dialogue within project teams.

·       Collaborate with system administrators in IT and Finance on cross functional projects and with the intake and governance processes.  Identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scale new and current system features in a cost-effective manner. Liase with project stakeholders to understand business requirements, architect solutions, and continuously optimize processes to add value.

·       Manage and oversee the configuration and testing of system features and enhancements, including maintenance of the financial data model (FDM), business processes, tenant setup, and validations.

·       Lead day to day Workday system administration and serve as the Product Owner for Workday financial systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategy, leveraging  leading practices.  Manage support activities, including resolving help desk incidents, maintaining the backlog of enhancements, and intake of future initiatives.

·       Implement and optimize Thryv’s investment in Workday, integrating continuous improvement, and data analytics into our culture.  Provide improved reporting and analytics for our teams leveraging the full suite of Workday tools, including custom financial reports (of all types), dashboards, Worksheets, Discovery Boards, and OfficeConnect workbooks.

·       Identify risks and continuously contribute to the development and enhancement of Workday processes and ensure accounting policies and requirements are accurately reflected in application. Develop process documentation, user documentation, system training, and support procedures as needed.  Provide support on the finance systems operational tasks, including but not limited to monitoring bugs and issues, ensuring the issues are resolved timely, and conducting retrospective review of close issues.

·       Implement future releases and changes to streamline, automate, and transform the financial statement close process, driving efficiency efforts to optimize consolidation and period-end close. Lead day-to-day execution of ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

·       Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) in Accounting, Systems/IT, Business Administration, or related field, required.

·       Master’s Degree (or international equivalent), preferred.

·       CPA certification, preferred.

·       9+ years of related experience, including 5+ years in public accounting or with a public company in accounting, finance, or a similar field working in finance systems and scaling processes in a global, multinational corporation, required.

·       4+ years of Workday Financials experience, required.

·       12+ years of related experience, preferred.

·       Workday PRO certification in any Financials module, preferred.

·       Comprehensive industry knowledge with an in depth understanding of system implementation including, but not limited to, requirement review, solution/design review, system training, cutover and go live activities.

·       Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively communicate with different audiences and bridge the gap between business users and technical teams.  Exemplifies high emotional intelligence.

·       Strong analytical capabilities, accounting and system analysis, critical thinking, and technical competencies, including a strong functional understanding of finance systems, end-to-end accounting processes, including record to report and order to cash accounting systems landscape.

·       Expert ability to think strategically about systems and data with an understanding of accounting cycles and database relationships with the accounting systems and processes.  Solutions oriented with demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.

·       Organized, strategic-thinking, problem-solving and analytical with unparalleled attention to detail, adept at working in a fast-paced environment, able to follow and execute a project schedule while demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset, and excel at leading multiple priorities concurrently.

·       Strong project management success utilizing technology and automation with SQL, dashboards, reporting skills. Strong understanding of Alteryx, Power BI, and other data visualization and RPA tools to automate processes with the ability to execute systems implementation and digital finance automation.

·       Highly proficient with MS Office Suite applications. Advanced Excel knowledge, including understanding and using formulas and manipulating large sets of data. Experience with Workday Financials implementation or optimization. Workday PRO certification in any Financials module preferred.

·       Driven to add value and continuously seek opportunities for improvement both individually and for the organization.

·       Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.

·       Must be 18 years of age or older.

·       Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.
