Full Job Description
Public Works Operations is seeking enthusiastic and dependable employees who want to be part of the Public Works team that provides road and drainage services to Chesapeake citizens. All positions require performing streets, drainage, and stormwater maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, concrete, asphalt, shoulder, ditch and pipe repair, and operating heavy equipment (please refer to the linked job descriptions below).
Equipment Operators I requires a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Permit and three months of related, full-time equivalent experience .
Equipment Operators II requires a Class B CDL and six months of related, full-time equivalent experience.
Equipment Operator III requires a Class A CDL and one year of related, full-time equivalent experience.
These positions are eligible for career progression.
