Environmental Construction Inspector II
Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for coordinating with contractors, developers and builders to conduct routine Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections for properties under construction.
Must have the ability to develop positive working relationships with staff from Public Works, Development and Permits, and the VA Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to coordinate Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Ordinance and Virginia Stormwater Management Program enforcement.
Coordinates with City staff from Public Works and Development and Permits to accomplish goals, communicate information, and coordinate interdepartmental Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Ordinance enforcement.
Investigates citizen complaints into Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Violations.
Prepares and maintains database reports and records such as erosion and sediment control routine inspection forms and SWPPP inspections records.
Performs other duties as assigned.
