eCommerce / Social Media Contractor

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated eCommerce / Social Media Contractor to cover a mat-leave. The ideal candidate will work to enhance our online presence and drive sales through effective social media strategies and eCommerce practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and merchandising to effectively engage and convert our audience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement eCommerce strategies to drive online sales and improve customer experience.
• Create and manage social media content, including posts and promotions across various platforms.
• Generate, enhance and approve product descriptions, videos and photos 
• Set up promotions, coupons, and different pricing structures on their website 
• Ensure products that are being featured on marketing emails are showing up on the first page of the website, ensuring flow / user experience within the site is adequate 
• Implement a merchandising strategy with landing pages, SEO copy and item placement 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - buyers and merchants, customer service, designers and external freelance contractors 

Qualifications

• Proven experience in eCommerce and social media marketing.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in developing and executing merchandising strategies.
• Ability to create compelling SEO copy and landing pages.
• Familiarity with promotional marketing techniques and strategies.
• Hands-on experience in CMS, eCommerce platform management experience and Meta are a must
