We are searching for a Document Processor to join the team and work on-site in Austin, Texas! The Document Processor is responsible for sending, receiving, and distributing advanced care planning ("ACP") documents on behalf of enrolled patients who are referred by independent primary care practices who partner with Aledade.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Send, receive, and distribute ACP documentation in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Verify the ACP documentation is aligned with the patients' conversations, state requirements, and company policy
- Ensure paperwork is accurately completed, scanned, and distributed while working on document problems of moderate/high scope in the doc process
- Navigate all areas of ACP workflows to decipher where patients are in the ACP process and verify these workflows are accurately completed
- Troubleshoot issues with printer/scanner/postage meters/check mail daily
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Extreme attention to detail across all areas of doc processing
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
- Knowledge of HIPPA and appropriate storage of documents
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to learn new software programs
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 1 yr. experience of relevant professional experience such as medical records, document scanning, or legal documentation
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate degree
- 2 yrs. experience of relevant professional experience such as medical records, document scanning, or legal documentation
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items weighing up to 35 pounds
- Position is on-site in Austin, Texas
